Tixel
The laser alternative that actually works. Tixel uses thermo-mechanical technology to tighten skin, smooth texture, and stimulate collagen—with a fraction of the downtime of traditional lasers.
What Is Tixel?
Tixel is an advanced skin resurfacing device that uses Thermo-Mechanical Action (TMA) to rejuvenate your skin. Instead of light-based energy like lasers, Tixel uses a heated titanium tip to create precise micro-channels in the skin.
These controlled micro-injuries trigger your body's natural wound-healing response, stimulating new collagen and elastin production. The result? Tighter, smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
Because Tixel doesn't use light energy, it's safe for all skin types and tones—including darker skin that's typically at higher risk for complications with lasers.

Tixel vs. Traditional Lasers
Why we chose Tixel over CO2 and other ablative lasers.
⚡ Tixel
Thermo-mechanical technology for effective resurfacing with minimal downtime.
- ✔ Minimal downtime (24-72 hours typical)
- ✔ Safe for ALL skin types and tones
- ✔ Can treat delicate areas (eyelids, lips)
- ✔ Enhanced topical absorption post-treatment
- ✔ Comfortable with topical numbing only
- ✔ Natural-looking, gradual improvement
💥 CO2 Lasers
Traditional ablative laser resurfacing—effective but with significant tradeoffs.
- ✗ Extended downtime (7-14+ days)
- ✗ Not safe for darker skin tones
- ✗ High risk of hyperpigmentation
- ✗ Cannot treat near eyes or lips
- ✗ Requires significant wound care
- ✗ Often requires sedation
- ✗ Higher risk of complications
How Tixel Works
Tixel's titanium tip is heated to 400°C and briefly contacts your skin in a precise, controlled pattern. This creates thousands of microscopic thermal channels without the scattered light energy of lasers.
-
1
Thermal Contact
The heated titanium tip touches skin for milliseconds, creating precise micro-channels.
-
2
Controlled Injury
Micro-channels penetrate to the dermis without damaging surrounding tissue.
-
3
Healing Response
Your body initiates repair, producing new collagen and elastin fibers.
-
4
Remodeling
Over weeks, skin tightens and texture improves as new collagen matures.

Why Patients Love Tixel
The benefits that make Tixel our go-to for skin resurfacing.
Minimal Downtime
Most patients are back to normal activities in 24-48 hours. Compare that to 1-2 weeks with CO2 lasers.
Safe for All Skin Types
No light energy means no risk of hyperpigmentation—safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I-VI.
Treats Delicate Areas
Can safely treat upper and lower eyelids, around the mouth, and other sensitive zones.
Enhanced Product Delivery
Micro-channels allow serums, growth factors, and PRP to penetrate 80x deeper than topical application.
Adjustable Intensity
Treatment depth can be customized from gentle glow-boosting to aggressive resurfacing.
Comfortable Treatment
Topical numbing is sufficient—no nerve blocks or sedation required.
Treatment Areas
Tixel can treat areas that other devices can't safely reach.
Full Face
Comprehensive facial rejuvenation including forehead, cheeks, and chin.
Periorbital (Eyes)
Upper and lower eyelids, crow's feet—areas too delicate for lasers.
Perioral (Mouth)
Lip lines, smoker's lines, and around the mouth.
Neck
Address neck lines, crepey skin, and early "tech neck."
Décolletage
Chest area sun damage, wrinkles, and texture.
Hands
Reduce crepey skin and sun damage on the backs of hands.
What to Expect
Your Tixel treatment journey from start to finish.
Preparation
Arrive with clean skin, no makeup. Avoid retinoids for 3-5 days prior. We'll apply topical numbing cream for 20-30 minutes.
Treatment
The Tixel handpiece is passed over your skin. You'll feel warmth and a light stamping sensation. Full face takes 15-20 minutes.
Post-Treatment
Skin will be red and feel warm—like a sunburn. We may apply a soothing serum or growth factors to take advantage of the open channels.
Initial Healing
Redness fades to pink. Mild swelling possible. Tiny grid marks may be visible but fade quickly. Skin may feel dry/tight.
Recovery Complete
Most patients look normal by day 3-4. Skin may appear slightly pink but is easily covered with makeup. Fresh, glowing appearance.
Collagen Building
This is when the magic happens. New collagen matures, skin tightens progressively, and texture continues improving for months.
Enhance Your Results
Tixel pairs beautifully with other treatments for amplified outcomes.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
Apply your own growth factors through Tixel's micro-channels for supercharged healing and collagen stimulation.
Botox & Fillers
Tixel addresses texture and tightening while injectables handle lines and volume—complementary approaches.
HydraFacial
HydraFacial 1-2 weeks before Tixel preps skin; after healing, it maintains your glow.
Medical-Grade Skincare
Post-Tixel, your skin absorbs actives dramatically better. We'll recommend the right products.
Microneedling
Alternate Tixel and microneedling sessions for comprehensive collagen induction.
Exosomes
Advanced regenerative therapy applied through Tixel channels for enhanced cellular renewal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tixel hurt?
With topical numbing, most patients describe it as very tolerable—a warm, stamping sensation. It's significantly more comfortable than ablative lasers.
How many treatments do I need?
Most patients see best results with 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments 1-2x per year preserve results.
When will I see results?
You'll notice improved glow within a week. Collagen remodeling continues for 3-6 months, with progressive tightening and texture improvement.
Is Tixel safe for dark skin?
Yes! Unlike lasers, Tixel uses thermal (not light) energy, so there's no melanin absorption and no risk of hyperpigmentation.
How long is the downtime?
Social downtime is typically 24-72 hours. Redness fades quickly and can be covered with mineral makeup after 24 hours.
Can Tixel replace a facelift?
Tixel provides skin tightening but can't replicate surgical lifting. It's ideal for mild to moderate laxity or as maintenance after surgery.
What's the difference between Tixel and microneedling?
Tixel uses heat in addition to micro-channels, providing more skin tightening and collagen stimulation than microneedling alone.
How much does Tixel cost?
Pricing depends on the area treated and intensity level. We offer single treatments and package pricing. Details provided at consultation.
